Life, love, and the pursuit of Him.

Proverbs 31:12, describing the wife of godly character.

“She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.”

Wow. Reading this gave me a good kick in the butt. I think in general, as Christians we regard dating as okay, and we’re pure as long as we don’t cross the line of sex. But mmmm girl, the Bible says something different! Honoring your husband, or your wife, all the days of your life. That means right now when you’re texting the smooth talking guy who works with you, tomorrow when you sit next to the sweet blonde in fourth period, at youth group when you introduce yourself to the cute new kid with blue eyes…all the days.
I am so guilty of being a flirt and giving big hugs to guys whenever I see them. And as God gently pointed out to me, how would I feel if I could watch my future husband go about his day and he was hugging girls the way I hug guys? If he let girls touch his arm in that sneaky flirtatious way?
Let me just tell you: I’m very Italian, and that girl would have it coming in a snap.

Man oh man, God, you know how to hit me hard.
